The worst thing that can occur is when a fly unknots itself when you have just had a bite. It happens once to everyone, but if it happens twice you should really get mad at yourself. Pull the knot to see if the flies are tied properly, water will lubricate and untie a weak knot. This will help you prevent those awkward situations.

Make sure you don’t take your favourite sneakers when going fishing your nice sneakers with you fishing. If you are new to this, it is best to borrow a pair. No Matter of where the boots came from, the fundamental thing is to see to it they permit you to have firm and good contact with the ground, to minimise the danger of slipping. To ensure you get good purchase on the ground make sure you have some good waders that have ridges and cleats at the bottom.

Local information is valuable, so speak to fisherman in the area and get some points on what areas are biting. If you keep away from where they are fishing, they will pass their knowledge with you openly.

Get yourself a good fishing jacket rather than trying to manage with a normal jacket. You should not buy a low-cost one, you will regret afterwards.

Most likely there will be numerous insects just about you, make sure you don’t do anything to attract them to you. It is better to avoid wearing red and yellow colours and also avoid using insecticide sprays. Fish have great sense of smell and will smell the spray and other strong smells and will avoid you.
