Artificial Fish Attractants

Big fish love cover. Creating an artificial habitat in your lake or pond can help you to grow some big catfish, crappie and especially bass.

The natural habitats for fish in lakes and ponds generally consist of downed trees, branches and logs. This type of habitat is great for the fish, but it snags your line and could make the big fish very hard to catch. Fish also like to hang around under the pier, especially if there is tall grass or downed branches there. You have probably heard of throwing your Christmas tree off the pier after Christmas! But it can be difficult to fish under the pier. You can also get really tangled and end up only catching Christmas trees.

Natural habitats also become old and can rot. Diminishing habitats for fish will cause them not to reproduce and eventually your pond will go dead. Fish also like to reproduce in shallow water with cover. If you do not provide that cover and it simply is not there, then your fish could stop spawning.

Artificial habitats, or fish attractants, are really effective at giving fish the cover that they desire. You can place something like the Honey Hole Tree in the areas that you like to fish. You can place more in the shallow waters where the fish may want to spawn. This can help you grow a healthy population of fish.

Besides creating more fish for your pond, you will also create bigger fatter fish. Fish with appropriate cover are less stressed, are better hunters and will live longer. The Honey Hole Tree is a perfect fish attractant if you plan on catching the fish that you are encouraging to multiply and grow. This particular fish attractant really looks like a natural bush at the bottom of the pond or lake. Fish are really attracted to it and feel safe in its cover.

What fishermen love about fish attractants like the Honey Hole Tree is that it is so easy to incorporate into their fish stocking plan. Just throw it in the water and it sinks to the bottom. Then, you can fish right down on it and catch the really big fish that love to hang around it. Your line does not get snagged and you are more likely to get right down in there, up to six feet deep in cover, and get a really big catch without getting hung up! The Honey Hole Tree is one of the best fish attractants out there and gives a lot of bang for the buck.
