Pleco’s or algea eaters are a good way. They require a heater and bubblers so make sure you have one if you get any!

algea eaters, and there is special stuff for that, that you drop into, its called something like “clear water” or “algea destroyer”, but before chemicals i would try the plecos

I would get some water clarifying drops, they work wonders. For the algae just make regular water changes and scrape the tank periodicaly. The make a magnet one where you don’t have to get your hands wet

I would get some algae eating fish first like otos, siamese algae eaters. Some shrimp eat algae too like amano shrimps. I wouldn’t add any chemicals to my tank like those algae destroying tablets. When you get plecos, just be aware of how big they get.
If that didn’t work, you could get an algae magnet. I heard that green dots are really hard to remove, you have to get some algae removing razor blade to cut them off.

First need to figure out which kind of algae is in the tank. Different things cause different algaes.

If you have dark green dots on the glass….that stuff *****. Need to scrub it off with an algae scraper, and put a lot of elbow work in it as well. I’ve found fish won’t touch that stuff, or they can’t. But, I recently added some Malaysian trumpet snails to one tank that had it-I gave up on trying to scrub it off, and they miraculously got it off.

If your tank water is foggy with green water, no fish or animal will get rid of that. That’s free floating algae, and like I said, you’ll need to address the source of it-usually it’s too much lighting/sunlight or high nutrient levels.

Go to a pet store and buy some drops that get rid of and prevent algea from growing or buy an algea eater like a chinese algea eater or a plecostamus (pleco).

Sounds like you have it very close to a window with direct sun light. If you can…move it from direct light and add a Pleco.
