Tell me which is the most aggressive freshwater fish?

freshwater fishing
Sammi asked:

I planning to buy an expensive freshwater fish, oscar, flowerhorn, iridescent shark, arowana, etc….
1. Please tell me which fish is the strongest in fighting?
I heard flowerhorn is most aggressive and can kill oscar whose size is double his. Also can i put iridescent shark with flowerhorn? Despite of tank size, i’ve talked to the pet store owner about tank size it will be ok.
how much does a baby/juvenile flowerhorn fish cost? in New York City,

Arrowannas or oscars. I have a friend who feeds his arrowannas live mice. They devour them. Oscars, too, are very aggressive and prefer live food.

the truth is the most aggresive fresh water fish is a shark not the sharks like you see in pet stores I mean I true jaws type of shark they come from a lake in aferica it is beleived that they were traped in the lake when it was blocked from the ocean and as the water turned fresh they adapted .
they get to big for your standard tank sizes and I am not even sure if you can even get them for the home tank but they would be by far the most aggresive indivual fresh water fish

and you can’t compare oscar’s with flowerhorns compared to most of the aferican cichlids oscars pound for pound are wimps

Pet store owners or employees dont always give you good and reliable advice. It is best to double check with multiple sources. Jaguar cichlids are quite aggressive.

Red Bellied Piranha are way more aggressive than oscars. Truthfully oscars have a diet that consists most of insects and arent really all that aggressive.

Tiger musky are really aggressive but they get absolutly huge and better kept in a pond than a fish tank.

There are freshwater shark species like the bull shark which has been found very far inland up the mississippi. They are unique among sharks in that they can actually survive in both salt and freshwater. Again, not something you can really keep in an aquarium.

Well, the most aggressive freshwater fish is the Snakehead but if your talking about the fishes in your list I’ll have to say the Arowana is the most aggressive fish followed by the Iridescent Shark and followed by the Oscar and the last is the Flowerhorn.I had all those fish before and believe me the Arowana is a very aggressive fish it even bit me while i was feeding it.But is you want the most aggressive freshwater fish i say you’d better go for the Snakehead.Hope this helps (^-^).
